The clock strikes one

After the death of his mother Gerhard joins the French army. He deeply regrets his decision on Vietnamese soil, but the love for a local girl brings back some light and hope in his life. When confronted with his superior officer, who claims that she is a Communist agent, Gerhard makes a big mistake. Together with the girl he is on the run, but fate brings him back into his own ranks. Infested with a serious tropical disease, he was brought to the court-martial and found guilty of shooting his superior. Within 24 hours the judgment should be enforced - execution. But whether Gerhard perseveres for so long is questionable.
